I am a director and chairman of the board of a public traded mining company with an approximate $1 billion market capital, and oversee the activities of it's executive management. I recently retired from the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of this company, after successfully hiring my replacement, and then overseeing a smooth transition of this executive management team that is performing very well.
I am a mining engineer with over 40 years of resident mining industry management experience gained in ; Southern Africa, USA, Canada, Australia, Papua New Guinea, and significant travel to and time spent in; the Phillipines, and Latin America, along with some familiarity with Uzbekistan.
My education, natural and learned skills, and dedication to the challenging tasks demanded by this industry, resulted in my reaching the pinnacle of responsibility in this industry. This has afforded me many oppotunities to be in front of and meeting with some of the highest government officials including several country ambassadors and presidents.
I now seek part-time employment/consulting work, being 65 years "young", and in good health, with time on my hands, and a desire to remain active.
