A Professor of Mechanical Engineering and the Director of the Aerospace Engineering Program at the University of Houston. His technical expertise is in the areas mechanical design, automation and optimization of mechanical and aerospace systems. He has authored or co-authored over 100 journal and proceeding articles, 3 book chapters, and two books. He has organized several invited session, workshops and short-courses at national and international conferences and he is in the editorial board of three international journals and several conference committees.
