Licensed over 25 years as a funeral director and embalmer, certified as a crematory operator (California). Member: ICFA, Funeral Ethics Association, Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice (certified CFSP). Mortuary Officer for the Federal Government 90 days working the World Trade Center Disaster (2001-2002), three weeks working hurricane Katrina (2005). Other: copious amounts of embalming experience, have directed hundreds of funeral services, hands on disinterments, etc. Currently work part time in the funeral industry.

1998 to Present   

  • Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team (DMORT) a division of health and Human Resources under the National Disaster Medical System as a Mortuary Officer for the federal government. Served six deployments to World Trade Center to assist with September 11, 2001 terrorist attack victims also served deployments to Hurricanes Ivan, Charlie and Katrina.

2000 to 2009   Zeyer Funeral Chapel, Nampa, Idaho

  • Duties Include: Embalming and all related duties.   

1998 to 2000   Treasure Valley Mortuary Accommodations,  Meridian, Idaho 

  • Duties include: Removals, embalming, performing cremations and all related duties.     

1996 to 1996    Desert Memorial, Las Vegas, Nevada.

  • Duties included: Embalming, cosmetic application, casketing and all related duties.

1995 to 1996    Field representative to the California State Cemetery Board.

  • Duties included:  Inspection of cemeteries and crematories in all of Southern California.  Issuing citations and fines for state law violations.  Proctoring examinations for potential cemetery licensees, investigating complaints concerning cemeteries and overseeing the day to day operation of two cemeteries that were under the control of the State Cemetery Board.

1987 to 1989     Funeral director/embalmer at Draper Mortuary at Ontario, California.

  • Duties included:  Body removal from place of death, embalming, cosmetic application, casketing, filing of death certificates, arranging of flowers, directing of funerals and related business.

1986 to 1987     Ed Broten who was the contract embalmer for Bunker Mortuary in Las Vegas, Nevada.

  • Duties included:  Body removal from place of death, embalming, cosmetic application and casketing.

1985 to 1986     Funeral director/embalmer at Davis Funeral Home, a mortuary/cemetery combination at Las Vegas, Nevada.

  • Duties included: funeral arrangements, body removal from place of death, embalming, cosmetic application, casketing, filing of death certificates, arranging flowers, directing of funerals and related business, performing cremations, direct contact and working closely with the coroner's office.

1980 to 1982      Funeral director/embalmer at Westminster Mortuary/Cemetery at Westminster, California 

  • Duties included: Body removal from place of death, embalming, cosmetic application, filing of death certificates, arranging of  flowers, directing of funerals and related business.

1979 to 1980       Wallace Funeral Chapel, Wallace, Idaho.

  • Duties included: funeral arrangements, body removal from place of death, embalming, cosmetic application, casketing, arranging of flowers, direction of funerals and related business.

1978 to 1979      "Night Man" at Albert Engle & Company, Oakland California, while attending mortuary college.

  • Duties included: conducted evening services.

1971 to 1973       Apprentice embalmer at Gibson Funeral Home and Cloverdale mortuary/cemetery, Boise, Idaho.
