There are numerous complaints from residents of houses located nearby construction sites. Some of these claims may appear legitimate. We will perform investigations of structural damage alleged from nearby construction and industrial activities.
There are certain problems in understanding and application of safe vibration limits to various structures. The existing blast vibration regulations were prepared for low-rise houses surrounding surface coal mining. These criteria should be correctly applied to various super and underground structures. It is necessary to use engineering judgment for proper evaluation of vibration effects on structures, sensitive equipment and people.
