EW #459  qualified as a chartered structural engineer in 1968. He joined and Partners in 1969 and is now senior partner. Structural design defects, construction disputes and representation of P&I Clubs in dock damage claims are areas of litigation in which he has provided expert reports and advice. Courtroom experience has been obtained in the UK and USA.

A wide range of commercial, industrial, retail and healthcare projects have been successfully completed for single and multi-storey buildings throughout the United Kingdom involving all types of design in modern construction. Having worked with major commercial Clients and national contractors, the Company is well-versed in dealing with contracts in structural steelwork, reinforced and pre-cast concrete, timber and masonry. Accelerated procurement routes and design-build contracts are a familiar pattern for these projects.

Extensive infrastructure contracts for roads, services, and both foul and surface water drainage have been executed in connection with many of the developments. The company has acted as sole/lead consultant dealing with planning, design, tender procurement, contract administration, cost control and certification of payments. Section Agreements including adoption by highway and other agencies are common features of civil engineering projects and the company has assisted with the drafting of Agreement documentation.

The Directors are experienced in the preparation of reports for litigation, arbitration and mediation and providing advice to lawyers in many jurisdictions including the United States and United Kingdom. Reports and submissions have also been prepared for planning appeals and public enquiries.
