CAREER SUMMARIES An internationally recognized fire expert specializing in the investigation of fires and explosions, including origin and cause, natural cover (wildfire), arson investigations, commercial and residential structures, aircraft, maritime, heavy equipment/machinery and vehicular fires of all types. He has qualified as an expert witness in US Federal Courts and State Courts. Dean has also provided expert opinions in the provinces of British Columbia and Alberta, Canada. His law enforcement background and extensive courtroom experience contribute to Dean's outstanding success as a fire investigator. His achievements are widely recognized, including having been named Oregon fire Investigator of the Year (1986) and International Investigator of the Year (1987) by the International Association of Arson Investigators. In addition, Dean brings to the firm extensive experience in small and full scale fire testing of materials and products.
