CURRICULUM VITAE
Richard T. Nero, (Rick) has held management and superintendent positions in architectural production and construction administration during a career of more than 26 years. He was the director of Design and Consulting for DTA, Inc. in Mill Valley CA, a Design/Build company of over 80 employees which specialized in the investigation, design and repair of residential and commercial projects. As a construction superintendent, Rick oversaw the construction of an upscale apartment complex from the site development to the release of 256 apartments and rec/leasing buildings.
His extensive forensic experience includes dispute resolution in more then 100 projects as an expert witness testifying on issues of contract compliance, design/construction errors, omissions and product defects. At DTA, Inc., Rick directed all the investigations, reports, remedial repair designs and field implementation for thousands of apartment/condominium units and commercial buildings. His experience includes public school district representations in new construction disputes.
As a design architect, Rick concentrates on quality assurance and constructability analysis with a solid background in building/site systems and technical detailing. In both wood and steel framing, his projects range from corporate home offices to ultra high end residences.
