Together with my partner, I founded and lead an INC 500 engineering company. Our growth averaged 50% per year (from 2 to 280 employees) for 14 years.

Prior to that, I spent nine years helping Ford to develop and launch some of the world's most advanced Powertrain Control Systems.

I have worked on projects related to Intellectual Property, powertrain development and manufacturing. I have lead community programs involving facility expansion and fundraising.

COSWORTH TECHNOLOGY, INC.,

CEO July, 1995 to March, 1996

I headed up Cosworth's North American Operations during the transition from a privately held company to a subsidiary of a multi national company.

I managed the strategic planning, team building and business reshaping after the acquisition.
We officially earned Tier One supplier status with Ford. I worked with our sister company in England to enhance business opportunities and profitability.

INTELLIGENT CONTROLS, INC.

President June, 1982 to June, 1995

In 1982, I cofounded a Powertrain Control System engineering company. Our earliest work was with companies including; Boeing, Mercury Marine and Teledyne Continental. As President, I provided marketing, program management and engineering leadership. Our profits funded our product development and our growth. Our average annual growth was 50%, as we expanded from 2 to 280 employees in 14 years. We received INC 500 (fastest growing privately held companies in America) awards in 1989 and 1991.

We received two "Michigan Leading Edge Technology Awards". We sold products and services to over 150 customers in 15 countries. We received Chrysler's QE Award. We received 'Preferred Supplier Status' (Tier One) and Full Service Supplier recognition from Ford Motor Company. The company is now part of Volkswagen (Audi) and continues to prosper.

FORD MOTOR COMPANY

Program Engineer June, 1973 to May, 1982

My work at Ford centered on the development of Powertrain Control Systems.

I worked with Scientific Research to implement a Two Phase Intake Manifold Dynamics model. I was able to apply a very complex mathematic model to a very simple computer.

Next, I lead the team that put Powertrain Controls on Fords Escort. The program was successful and exceeded virtually all of its technical and financial objectives. For example, in reduction of product complexity alone, we were able to save the company about $15 Million per year (from 82 to 87).
