Design and create custom machines to reduce manufacturing cost. Consider worker health and ease of use during all phases of development. Utilize scientific methods to develop prototypes to bring clients products to market. Work closely with clients to meet their needs and specifications. Help clients develop realistic expectations, timelines and specifications to insure successful development of the product. Meet allotted deadlines and project milestones at each phase of the project. Conduct regular checks after installation to insure client satisfaction and product performance.


Product Engineer, Tippmann Pneumatics 1999-2003

Developed, designed and implemented regular product innovations. Worked within a development team while providing leadership to manufacturing personnel. Acted as liaison with materials suppliers and reviewed bids for existing and future contracts. Worked independently, designing a completely new product. In a team environment, designed six new products over 3 years. Voluntarily represented Tippmann at paintball events which encouraged more participants to attend, developed positive public relations, and kept abreast of the desires and needs of todays athlete.


Project Engineer, Weldwood of Canada 1997-1999

Provided engineering and product management services to a pulp mill maximizing production quality, safety performance and reducing costs over the long term. Delivered pro forma results within time and cost constraints. Solved operational and maintenance problems. Conducted root cause analysis and completed resulting projects. Filled shift supervisor position for six months for a crew of 30 maintenance people (millwrights, welders and pipe fitters). During plant shutdowns supervised a work crew of 60. Presented project outlines, updates and fund approval needs for capital projects to mill management, company management, and department heads. Worked consecutive shifts as required to ensure positive conclusion to work projects.


Student Project Engineer, Kimberly-Clark 1995-1997

Prepared and executed minor projects in concert with operations groups. Provided technical support to operations personal. Encouraged, suggested and implemented improvements to the departments systems and processes.


Conestoga College 1990-1991

Princess Patricias Canadian Light Infantry (1985-1988) Reconnaissance Unit. Was an integral member of a reconnaissance team with specialized training to move as a single unit. Adapted to work in a variety of environments and cultures under stressful conditions. Constantly exercised independent decision-making and problem solving for mission completion. Qualified in 95% of the positions available to me, examples are Reconnaissance Trooper, Radio Operator, Machine Gunner, Pioneer Tech, etc.
