Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (1972). He holds his medical degree from Harvard Medical School (1965) and completed psychiatric residency training at Harvard. He is an Associate Clinical Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine. He has functioned as consultant to the Examiner for the California Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and is a Qualified Medical Examiner for the California Workers Compensation Appeals Board. He is a specialist in workplace issues, including wrongful termination, sexual/racial descrimination/harassment, and ADA issues. He has broad experience in psychiatric injury assessment, including causation and psychiatric disability evaluation. He has over 25 years experience in psychiatric treatment of adults, including extensive hospital experience. He is a past Director of Stanford Hospital Psychiatric Ward. He has been consultant and Forensic Evaluator for San Mateo and Santa Clara County Superior Courts for 20 years. He is the author of a national award-winning paper in psychiatry and has served as president of the Midpeninsula Psychiatric Society. He has authored over 3500 psychiatric forensic evaluations for both defense and plaintiff attorneys, and has extensive trial experience.
