1985-1988 - Area Supervisor
1988 – 1995 - District Manager
1995 – 2002 - Consultant and Security Specialist
1999 – Present - Operations Manager

I will explain a little what these positions have entailed.

People have and continue to ask me why do you do what you do. My answer continues to be. I enjoy the challenge of never knowing what situation I will be dealing with. I thrive on pressure and deadlines as I function well under these circumstances. I enjoy people; I get much personal happiness through providing people with information to make their lives more enjoyable. I work with a wide range of individuals on a daily basis and have the ability to be at what ever level is necessary to help.

When people ask me to share some career experiences. I find the experiences they find the most exciting are. Early in my investigative career I performed many undercover duties. I was responsible for solving many drug, threat, and fraud related cases for Fortune 500 companies. This was interesting for me, as I posed as something, which I was not. My interest in this started early, as I was in many plays for our local reparatory theater and high school drama class.

Additional career experiences have been providing protective services to the likes of Julia Roberts, Brett Favre, Nick Nolte, Keanu Reeves and Morgan Freeman. I found it very interesting being directly involved with providing security and protective services during the production of the movies I Love Trouble and Chain Reaction.

Currently the majority of my time is spent administratively and consulting. I correlate the operations of our consulting, investigative, security, and risk management business. I chair our weekly management staff meetings. I enjoy my involvement with our classroom training program and contact with our clientele. It has been exciting to have been part of the security industry since 1984 and watched all of the changes that have taken place. The biggest change and most exciting has been the integration of personnel and electronics in the security industry. It has been an honor to work for and with James H. Martin whom started Martin Security, Inc. in 1960 and gave me my original opportunity.

On the personal side, I thoroughly enjoy anytime I am able to be outdoors. I live within a stones throw of the Wisconsin River and enjoy hunting fishing, hiking, and canoeing. Three years ago I sold my herd of cattle as my time at work became ever more precious. The interest in raising beef goes back to my first job as a farm hand at 12 years old. I have three grown children, two daughters and a younger son whom will be attending the UW Stevens Point this coming year. I am fortunate to have all of my children live in the area so I am able to spend time with all of them. I have been an avid curler and have made it to the National level in competition. Two years ago my teammates and I were in competition at the regional level for Olympic qualifications. I am currently on the Board Of Directors for the Four City Safety Council and immediate Past President. Member of A.S.I.S.
