EW #778 has held instrument and controls engineering and managerial positions in corporate engineering and maintenance organizations since 1978. Associations have been with Hoffmann-La Roche, Lurgi Corporation, American Cyanamid, and most recently, BASF Corporation. He has a broad-based background in all phases of instrument, electrical, and control system implementation, from concept through documentation for trouble free construction, in the utility, municipal, power, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries.
System integration experience includes control strategy development, field instrument selection, control panel design, and instrument configuration. Definition and configuration capabilities are available for single and multi- loop digital controllers and distributed control systems. Electrical expertise includes motor control schematics and one-lines, lighting layouts, heat tracing system design, lightning protection and grounding design.
He has a B.E. with Honor from Stevens Institute of Technology. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in New Jersey. Active in local ISA educational courses, Stan has taught many sessions on flow and computer applications, and directed courses relating to instrument standards, process measurement and control, batch control, boiler controls, and electrical safety. He is past-president of the New Jersey Section.
