EW #906  FIDSA®, is a former President and Chairman of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA). He earned a Bachelor's in Industrial Design from the University of Kansas and a Master's in Design from Cranbrook Academy of Art.

He  received an Appointment from President Reagan to head the United States Information Agency's (USIA's) Cultural Exchange Mission, "Design in America", behind the then Iron Curtain. He is the recipient of over thirty U.S. design and utility patents. He is past-Mayor of Plandome, New York, has testified before the U.S. Congress and the U.S. Senate on the Industrial Design Innovation and Technology Act, and has testified before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

EW #906   received the design profession's highest award, IDSA's Personal Recognition Award, awarded to only ten other designers previously.

He s pent a majority of his career as Manager of Product Design & Product Development for 25 billion dollar JCPenney Co. in New York City during which time he directed research into the shopping and purchasing habits of ordinary observers. Currently, he is an independent industrial designer and inventor.

He has served as an expert witness in design patent litigation for over ten years during which time he has been deposed and testified at trial about ten times. He co-founded and co-Chairs the Design Protection Section of the Industrial Designers Society of America.
