Michigan M was formed in 1994, by Ph.D., to provide industries with 3D surface finish & wear measurement and analysis services. Using the WYKO NT2000 3D surface profilometer and a host of advanced analysis software, Michigan Metrology provides solutions for many types of surface related development and manufacturing process problems.

Clients include, DaimlerChrysler, Flint Ink, Siemens, Rogers, Masco, Bosch, Dupont, Delphi, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, TRW..... Projects are constantly being performed to address problems from new product development to pressing warranty issues.

His background is primarily in the physical sciences with a B.S. / M.S. in Physics and a Ph.D. in Optical Sciences. Prior to forming Michigan Metrology, He was with WYKO Corporation developing surface metrology instrumentation and analyses for various industries.. He is a co-inventor of the technology comprising the NT2000 and currently serves as Vice Chairman of the ANSI/ASME B46.1 Surface Texture Standards committee.

1988 - 1994 (final position: V.P. Engineering), WYKO Corporation, Tucson AZ
· Responsible for 20+ professionals in the development of capital test equipment for national and international markets.
· Worked closely with various Fortune 500 organizations such as 3M, Intel, IBM and Kodak to supply state of the art solutions for various applications.
· Directed the successful commercialization of patented technology recognized by the R&D 100 Award.

1981 - 1988 (final position:Advisory Engineer), IBM, Tucson , AZ
· Group leader of opto-mechanical professionals for the development of optical disk drive components and subassemblies. Lead the pioneering work from laboratory and computer models to final form factor prototype machines.

1978 - 1981 Engineer, Bell Technical Operations, Tucson AZ
· Developed computer models for the performance of night vision devices in the presence of various atmospheric conditions. Conducted both software and hardware tests of various systems.
