As an engineering consulting company incorporated in 1981, CAEA provides advanced analysis services to a broad range of industries including aerospace, automotive, biomedical, electronics and consumer products. Each member of our technical staff has worked in private industry prior to joining the firm and has extensive experience in a wide variety of fields, notably: explicit transient dynamics, turbomachinery, dynamics, applied mechanics, electronic packaging, contact mechanics, impact and containment, computational fluid dynamics, and finite element code development. CAEA specializes in complex structural, thermal, and CFD analyses, including material nonlinearities, large deformation, contact, and transient effects. We are experts in developing parametric models and automated procedures for a broad range of applications.
CAEA also has experience in work related to patent and trademark issues, accident claims, and product liability issues.
Our business philosophy is to provide high quality solutions to difficult engineering problems using a combination of:
Experienced, well educated analysts.
State of the art simulation tools.
CAEA is committed to quick response solutions in order to meet customer time-to-market requirements.
CAEA has been in the business of engineering consulting for over 20 years. We have established a reputation as a quality service provider to many large and small corporations.
CAEA has extensive, up-to-date computer hardware capable of efficiently solving large nonlinear problems. Our computer hardware consists of dual-processor HP workstations, along with a number of Intel PCs.
All engineers who provide consulting services have a Ph.D. and/or Masters degree in engineering disciplines as well as a minimum of 7 years of practical experience performing finite element analysis.
CAEA is a world leader in finite element training. In 2003, we taught over 1500 hours of training classes for over 400 engineering personnel at various companies. The same personnel who develop the customized classes and perform the training are responsible for conducting analysis projects.
ANSYS, Inc. has chosen CAEA to develop a variety of training seminars which have been used to train engineers throughout the world. These have included Introduction to ANSYS, ANSYS Heat Transfer, and Substructuring with ANSYS. CAEA also provides training in Explicit Dynamics Analysis with ANSYS/LS-Dyna, ANSYS Nonlinearities, ANSYS Contact, ANSYS Customization, and Finite Element Best Practices.
CAEA was chosen to develop and teach a Finite Element Best Practices seminar by both the U.S. Army Research Center (1990) and by United Technologies Corporation (1996). These two seminars have evolved into the class which we currently teach regularly at our facility as well as on-site at companies throughout the country, including GE Power Systems, Pratt and Whitney Aircraft, and IBM Corporation.
CAEA is the exclusive ANSYS distributor in the southern New England and New York metropolitan regions, providing sales and hotline technical support.
CAEA has been recognized as FEA and ANSYS experts by GE Aircraft Engines, GE Power Generation, and GE Corporate Research & Development. Since 1985 these organizations have selected CAEA over all other ANSYS Support Distributors (and even ANSYS, Inc. itself) to provide exclusive hotline technical support and training to all their engineers. In addition, we provide ANSYS technical support and training for almost all United Technologies divisions, as well as Siemens Westinghouse. These companies are among the biggest users of ANSYS in the world.
For our analysis activities, we primarily use the ANSYS, CFX and LS/Dyna FEA software. However, our analysts have experience with a variety of simulation software, including NASTRAN, MARC, Fluent, and ABACUS.
CAEA has access to a wide variety of CAD software, including Unigraphics, Pro/ENGINEER, Mechanical Desktop, and Solidworks.
Please contact us with any questions or if we can help meet your organizations analysis requirements.
