Short Biography:
EW #408 PE formed , Inc. in 1977 in order to perform consulting work in the field of electric power engineering. He has been the Principal Engineer for the company since its inception and has completed the majority of tasks for the company. In addition, engineers and technicians of various disciplines have been contracted in order to complete specific tasks.
Many interesting projects have been completed however our main thrust has been in electrical planning and design. We have also participated in utility mapping projects. Clients have included more than 20 municipals and military electrical facilities.
Our present objectives are to: -Provide expert witnesses for power related issues -Train engineers and technicians in electric transmission and distribution concepts -Conduct electrical studies for industrial and commercial facilities -Complete planning and design for electric utilities -Assist distribution engineers with planning and design
Career Objective To conduct planning and design for electric utilities, to assist distribution engineers with planning and design, to train engineers and technicians in electric transmission and distribution concepts, to conduct electrical studies for industrial and commercial facilities, and to act as an expert witness in power related issues.
Experience 1977-Present , Inc., Prospect, KY Perform consulting services in Power System Engineering. The majority of projects have been in planning, design, and mapping for small electric utilities. Clients have included over 20 municipals and military bases.
2000-Present Unified Investigations & Sciences, Inc., Columbus, Ohio Assist in fire scene examinations when electrical equipment is involved.
1989-Present Speed Scientific School, University of Louisville, Louisville, KY Teaches the Power System Analysis class which is a graduate level Electrical Engineering course. Also presents the power and machinery section of the Professional Engineering Review. Present position is Adjunct Professor. The present emphasis is on training engineers and technicians.
1962-1998 Louisville Gas & Electric Co., Louisville, KY Held various positions from Systems Engineer to Division Manager. Planned and designed electric transmission and distribution systems. Developed a coordinate based mapping system for the gas and electric utility. Managed T&D Engineering, Design, and Records. Represented the company defending legal actions.
1964-1967 Louisville Technical Institute, Louisville, KY Taught portions of the Electrical Engineering curriculum at this two year technical school.
