Short Biography:
EW#5854 has thirty years experience in the marine industry and established his own consultancy in 1984 to undertake the management and supervision of offshore engineering surveys. He has been employed on project management teams for major oil and gas companies throughout the world. He has assisted various government organisations with the planning of site investigations for offshore engineering developments and negotiated contracts between oil compnanies and survey contractors. He has been responsible for the organisation and management of engineering surveys associated with large offshore oilfield development, including both shallow and deep water, and the quality control of seabed data collection. He has been trained in Quality Management by Shell.
His work in dispute resolution has included being an expert witness in international disputes concerning underwater pipelines in the Caribbean, telecommunications cables in the Mediterranean as well as the construction of a small dock in the UK; he has headed a team of engineers and lawyers in eight cases of difference between a foreign oil company and a major project management contractor.
