EW #361 received his MBA from the University of Texas in 1972 and began working for the financial services firm of Rotan Mosle, Inc. He has always been interested in the law and in 1978 obtained my JD from South Texas College of Law. He continued to work as a financial consultant and in 1983, he found his niche - structured settlements. His focus, even when structures were new to the American legal scene, has been plaintiff oriented. Although he is not a practicing attorney, he is a member and Life Fellow of the Houston and Texas Bar Foundations.

As the structured settlement industry has grown and changed over the years, he has found that there is an increasing need for education among plaintiff attorneys and clients. With the goal of education in mind, he has spoken at several different seminars. Most recently he spoke to the Ad Litum "boot camp" in Houston on behalf of some of the District Court Judges in Harris County.

He has a special place in my heart for minor children who have been injured or who have lost a parent. He has worked to teach and empower new Ad Litum's the benefits of structured settlements and/or 142 Trusts. Within the past year, he has worked on over 25 Ad Litum cases. One Ad Litum case involved over 600 minor children.

Another important development in the industry has been a greater increase in Mass Tort settlements. He has been fortunate to be one of the only structure brokers in the country that has worked on a Mass Tort case with over 1000 plaintiffs. He has taken that experience and refined the mass tort process helping the attorneys expedite the settlement phase and educate the plaintiffs, who in many cases are receiving a large sum of money for the first time.

Many plaintiff attorneys have experienced first hand that the combination of skill, knowledge, education and experience in financial consulting as well as structured settlements which is offered by my team, has helped hundreds of their clients reach their financial objectives. Others have observed that ours is a unique resource.

He received letters and phone calls from past clients thanking me for helping them understand and benefits from structures. At the end of the day, those comments make the struggle and all the hard work worthwhile.
