CEO for unique construction services/ expert witness/ technical consulting firm. Specializing in heating/cooling/ventilation/dehumidification, humidification, energy conservation and indoor air quality solutions for industrial, commercial and institutional projects. Special expertise in desiccant dehumidification, UVC contamination control, gas phase filtration using carbon and potassium permanganate, humidification, heating, cooling , air distribution, and all construction issues associated.

Construction services include expert witness testimony ,site inspections, design review, shop drawing review, construction administration of contracts, procurement for clients, value engineering ,assistance in bid award, budget, change order processing, document control, scheduling, quality control inspections, code compliance review, permit expediting, material delivery coordination and expediting. Many public projects for the GSA(Washington), State of Illinois, City of Northbrook, IL, City of Chicago, County of Cook (Provident Hospital), Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority (McCormick Place), OHare and Midway Airport expansions.

Projects included Certification of Test and Balance of high-pressure steam, high-pressure water and HVAC for the United Terminal, OHare; Design/ Build Documents for Provident Hospital renovation; Contract Administration for HVAC, McCormick Place Expansion; 6-year contract for Document Control all trades, McCormick Place Expansion II; Joint Venture Partner for ventilation for AT&T major tenant space, AT&T Building, Chicago, $1.4 million. Principal disciplines in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection.

Marketing representative of multiple top quality lines of heating, cooling, air handling, filtration and dehumidification equipment for industrial and commercial applications. Design of special systems for desiccant dehumidification used by industrial clients.

Review and coordinate construction and design plans for owner on major renovation projects, including several floors of the Merchandise Mart, Chicago, and multi-million
dollar addition to the Federal Courthouse in Washington.

Manage Professional Service Contracts for design/build construction of renovation and new construction work at military hospitals throughout the country ,as well as labs and commercial spaces for the Corps of Engineers and other Federal agencies. Responsible for full administration of the Design portion of the contracts and technical expert on HVAC. Interface with MEDCOR as well as contracting and management of consultants for engineering design and hazardous material abatement. Establishment of budgets on each project. Perform quality control functions on designs. Frequently design projects to expedite work in emergency situations. Special design considerations include clean steam, laboratory pressurization, and environmental control in all spaces as well as special environmental control in operating rooms and laboratories. Contracts are typically full discipline. Individual contracts up to $20 million in design/build.

Technical Direction for 30+ mechanical engineers on high profile, diverse projects such as museums, universities, government work, commercial buildings, research labs, hospitals, specialty projects in Maryland, DC and Virginia; Smithsonian, GSA, FM Burn Labs, BioReliance Cleanroom/Research Labs, Fauquire Hospital, James Madison University, etc. Technical work in HVAC, indoor air quality, energy conservation, sustainable (green) design. Responsible for Quality Control/Quality Assurance, mentoring, construction administration of RFIs, technical direction and training of staff. Projects range from .5 M$ to 100M$

Responsible for mechanical design on a new Central Library in Chicago (2.5 million dollar)..
Designed the HVAC System for the renovation for lower level of the Art Institute and the
HVAC for School of the Art Institute in the historic Champlain Building.
HVAC, plumbing and electrical renovation at various schools, including
U of I Medical School, City of Chicago Public Schools. Other institutions such as new Ela Library at Lake Zurich (MEP), renovation of State of Illinois Armories at Midway AP, Waukegan, Illinois and Chicago( HVAC and Asbestos Abatement)
Designed the plumbing/fire protection for the New White Sox Park.
Designed the snow melting system on a new Taxiway Bridge at OHare Airport
Designed MEP and fire protection for churches and new commercial buildings, tenant spaces and large up-scale residences.
Plumbing Design for Lincoln Park Lion House and HVAC for new Administration Building.
Renovation of HVAC in the Chicago Cultural Center, including humidification, dehumidification and air distribution in an historical building.
Renovation of the ventilation system for Grant Park Underground Garage.

Construction Management on major industrial/commercial projects, specializing in mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection including The Chicago Tribune Printing Plant ($200M), The Chicago Board Options Exchange ($10Min MEP contracts), various downtown high rise buildings, and Master Plan for OHare Expansion ($2.5 Billion) for Murphy-Jahn & Associates.

Established a Document Control and tracking method for
shop drawings, as well as a time saving Field Directive system for expediting field work and improving schedules.

Design and construction document review, acting as owners representative.

Worked intimately with all disciplines, architects and engineers during design.
Responsible for all renovation work in the Chicago area and construction of several major GSA Buildings throughout a six state region.

Supervised design, reviewed design and monitored outside architects and engineers work for compliance with Government specifications and standards, and administered public professional and construction contracts. Responsible for entire project from architect selection to final acceptance for the Government. Instituted a Quality Control Procedure for design and energy conservation for all government projects in the Division. including historic preservation of Courthouses and Post Offices.

Designed first Midwest smoke control systems for four federal high rise buildings; Chicago, Detroit, Akron and Indianapolis (first in the country outside of Seattle). Worked
Closely with Central Office Accident and Fire Prevention.
