EW #338  is an international authority on livestock fencing and management. He has written more than 100 articles on the subject, including 'Prevent Fence Failure' for the April 1999 issue of EQUUS, 'What's New In Horse Fencing' for the July 1993 issue of THE WESTERN HORSE and 'What's New In Livestock Fencing' for the June 1992 issue of THE CATTLEMAN. He is the author of the best-selling booklet on electric fencing: ELECTRIC FENCING: DO IT RIGHT!

He  has conducted more than 300 of seminars on fencing technology and grazing management for livestock producers throughout the world. He works with ranchers and horse owners to install effective fencing systems. He is a consultant and international sales representative for several agribusiness companies involved in the manufacture of fencing equipment. He has written two books on livestock management: WELCOME TO THE NEW LIVESTOCK INDUSTRY and HOW TO PLAN, IMPLEMENT AND PRACTICE CONTROLLED GRAZING ON YOUR PLACE.

EW #338  grew up on a family cattle ranch near Crystal City, Texas and helped manage the family horse breeding operation. He earned a degree in Agricultural Journalism from Texas A&M University in 1976. From 1980 to 1988 he was Director of Marketing and then President of Gallagher/Snell, Inc., the U.S. distributor for Gallagher Electronics, the world's largest electric fencing company.

From 1988 to 1991 he consulted for several agricultural companies as well as designed and supervised construction of livestock fences for Modern Agri-Products of Ferndale, Washington. In 1991 he joined American FarmWorks, the nation's largest manufacturer of electric fence controllers, as International Sales Manager. He consulted on the selection and design of electric fencing accessories and established distributors in Central and South America. In 1993 he formed ?International to market electric fencing and other livestock products worldwide, as well as work with agribusiness companies and livestock producers on modern fencing and management techniques.

Since 1995 he has provided expert testimony and consulted in more than a dozen livestock and fencing related court cases. He has testified in one trial and three depositions.
