David Lehman is a structured product specialist covering residential whole loan mortgages of all types (Prime, Alt-A, Subprime, Option-Arms), residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS), collateralized debt obligations (CDO), commercial mortgage backed securities (CMBS), and other esoteric assets.

David has advised a number of large financial institutions on the valuation of illiquid securities (including RMBS/ABS/CMBS, CDOs, and auction rate securities) in the context of bankruptcy, restructuring, regulatory scrutiny and securities litigation.

David has over 11 years of experience in the structured finance industry.  His background is primarily the whole loan trading and structuring of Prime, Alt-A, and Option ARMs.  Prior to the onset of the credit crisis, David was a Non-Agency Whole Loan Trader at WaMu Capital Corp., the institutional broker-dealer unit of Washington Mutual, where he ran the loan-by-loan conduit desk and pricing of all of Washington Mutual’s Alt-A loans across the retail, broker, and consumer direct channels.  Earlier roles included non-agency trading at Morgan Stanley and collateral analysis at Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB).
