CREDENTIALS
Thirty years in the United States Coast Guard serving as a Boatswains Mate and Chief Warrant Officer (BOSN). Experienced in the operation, navigation, and maintenance of vessels ranging from 17 feet to 378 feet. Directly and indirectly involved in thousands of Search and Rescue cases. Conducted a myriad of law enforcement boarding’s to insure vessels were in compliance with Federal Laws and safety requirements. Conducted appropriate investigations when necessary, as well as inspected and issued citations for vessels, marinas, chemical facilities and oil transfer stations, tow boats and barges. Prepared comprehensive case files and provided testimony in court proceedings for marine related accidents, pollution incidents, illegal immigrants, and drug seizures.

Experienced in litigation support in the operation, maintenance, and navigation of vessels. My experience encompasses operation of vessels in and upon the high seas, inland waterways, western rivers, inland lakes and rivers.

Investigate and analyze marine mishaps as well as marine associated mishaps.
Determine likelihood of product liability and/or human error for litigation
Provide expert testimony, depositions, and written reports for trials and litigation.
I have provided litigation assistance for cases involving negligent operation, Violations of inland and international navigational rules, improper navigation lights, product liability, Jones Act (personal injuries on towboats, barges, and cruise ships), life jackets, manifesting and unsafe voyage, aids to navigation, warning signs that apply to a marine environment, ladders on docks, seawalls, and vessels.
