EW #1309 is a graduate of the University of Michigan with BS in Civil Engineering, with graduate studies in engineering, finance and law. He has lectured at seminars for the Industrial Development Research Institute, the Massachusetts High Technology Institute, and the Association of General Contractors. He taught CPM scheduling at the college level, and was awarded a certificate of achievement in 1999 by The American Society of Civil Engineers for his contribution to the Millennium Project. Paul is a Registered Professional Engineer in three states, and has published articles in various trade magazines, He is listed in the 1994 edition of Who’s Who in Engineering, and the 2002 edition of Strathmore’s Who’s Who in America.
Starting with Bechtel Corporation, he worked as Project Engineer, Estimator, Project Manager and Vice President for General Contractors. He was CEO of Drex-Con, a subsidiary of the Vantage Company, a Dallas based general contractor where he supervised operations in four states. He was Owner's Representative for Disney's award winning Contemporary Resort Hotel in Orlando, and Development Manager for Boston’s $900 million Southwest Corridor, a mass transit urban development.
As Project Manager, he estimated, bid, and supervised multiple Class A office buildings and renovations in New York, built two hotels for Sheraton, six shopping centers, 22 school construction projects for New York School City School Construction Authority, three subway projects for New York City Transit, and 12 industrial projects for General Electric.
In addition to public works, commercial and industrial, Paul developed and built two golf course retirement communities in New Jersey, each over 1000 acres, going nt shoulder to shoulder with embattled developers, helping them emerge successful (relatively) through the planning board process.
As Director of Facilities for Teradyne, Paul produced savings of over $300,000 annually. He developed a strategic plan for future facilities in a period of rapid growth for the corporation, and built new R&D and manufacturing facilities throughout he country. He also oversaw the acquisition, design, and construction of Teradyne’s new 12 story corporate headquarters in Boston.
He was recently selected as expert witness on the Aladdin Casino Resort. With nine years forensic and consulting experiene, his clients include architects, engineers contractors, insurance companies, as well as attorneys.
