Redirected primary marketing efforts to target the corporate/tourist segment, leading to successful entry into these lucrative markets. Recruited new General Managers that were aggressive in sales and marketing and management controls. Days Inns Of America January, 1992 June, 1998 Vice President Of Regional Marketing Introduced the concept of regional marketing and established thirty-eight separate regions throughout the US. These organizations were innovative, purposeful, and successful both for the franchisees and Days Inns Of America. Spearheaded a comprehensive realignment of the training department that began meeting the actual training needs of the franchisees. Planned and administered an intensive advertising campaign through TV, radio, and other media sources. Implemented custom Smith Travel Research Reports for each region. Supervised and directed a sales team of the best sales and marketing cast members ever assembled. Implement and created sales and marketing strategies that would be used in other Hyatt Hotels nation wide. Re-positioned an Independent resort (Carolondo) to a full service Hyatt resort without meeting space.
