EW #920 is a full-time Geriatrician and Board certified Family Physician in North San Diego County. Heis the founder and manager of the Skilled Nursing Facility/Subacute Unit for a large multi-specialty group (SHARP) in North San Diego County, and attend patients at about 20 SNFs and multiple RCFEs. Additionally, he serves as the Medical Director of a 90-bed SNF (La Paloma HealthCare) in Oceanside, and for Hospice By the Sea. He is on the clinical faculty in geriatrics for both UCSD and Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital's Family Practice Residency Programs. Heis on the Board of Directors for CALTCM (CA Assoc. of Long-Term Care) and chairs their Publications Committee.

Heis a qualified medical expert and have been retained in approximately 100 cases in 20 states, both plaintiff and defense, primarily involving skilled nursing facility standard of care, the natural history of dementia (especially Alzheimer's disease, and specific issues regarding falls, weight loss, malnutrition/dehydration, decubitus ulcers (pressure sores or bedsores), use of restraints (mechanical and chemical), medical director duties, and the regulations governing facilities' responsibilities. Extensive experience with Medicare and Social Security with over 1000 ALJ Hearings as impartial Medical Expert. Some personal injury, medical malpractice cases also accepted based on merit. Impartial reviews of any case (with or without written reports) are a specialty, with attention to causation and damages.
