h Responsible technical expert on petroleum refinery process control strategies to project team handling multiple client projects.
h Prepared strategic computerization master plan and conceptual control design of FCC unit for client in Sicily.
h Led team preparing conceptual advanced control design for full refinery of Spanish client.

1984 - 1987 ARABIAN AMERICAN OIL COMPANY, SAUDI ARABIA

h Supervised Process Control Group responsible for support of all process control systems in Ras Tanura Refinery.
h Had primary technical responsibility for Ras Tanura (R.T.) Refinery Modernization Project which successfully installed large DCS and computer system in R.T. Refinery. Performed system validation at factory and led advanced control commissioning activities.
h Led system functional specification preparation, coordination of international engineering contractors and control systems vendors as well as activities of the Aramco operating and central engineering organizations in the design phase of Ras Tanura Terminal movement and loading systems project.

1980 V 1984 THE FOXBORO COMPANY, FOXBORO, MASSACHUSETTS

h Managed all projects for major oil company account. Activities included liaison with client central engineering organization and project teams at three sites, and project execution in-house and at-site.
h Wrote monthly progress for client management and corporate management on projects managed.
h Consulted internally on implementation of oil movement and blending system control projects.
h Prepared implementation proposals in support of Sales for several applied systems in Latin America.

1970 - 1980 EXXON RESEARCH AND ENGINEERING CO.

h Led systems engineering group with engineers active on projects worldwide. Coordinated their activities with regard to projects involving Honeywell 4500 PMX systems.
h Led Blending Computer Replacement Project; included design, specification, procurement, and management of project.
h Specified, designed and led implementation of supervisory computer control project for hydroskimming refinery in Kawasaki. Applications included unique capacity maximization application for UOP Platformer unit. Designed and implemented new control algorithm for the host computer.
h Performed feasibility and justification studies for control system projects at refineries in Venezuela, Germany, Italy, and UK.
h Performed project feasibility studies; definition of systems; development, testing and implementation of advanced control strategies for Danish refinery.
h Investigated state-of-the-art operating methods and control systems for refinery tank farm and oil movements control systems and wrote internal research report documenting the same.

1969 - 1970 CREOLE PETROLEUM CORP., AMUAY VENEZUELA

h Technical services and process design for crude and lubes processing.
h Performed initial scoping study of refinery computerization project.

h Designed and implemented supervisory computer controls for TCC reactor and regenerator sections in Mobils first computer control project. Developed an early form of constraint controls and applied to the TCC reactor Section operation. Wrote reports documenting contributions to the Project.
