Establishing a new college of engineering, planning for establishing a mechanical and energy engineering department, supervise undergraduate advising office, responsible for new and updating curriculum, chair of personnel affairs committee, interview with new faculty, interaction with community colleges, undergraduate research, programs for underrepresented students. 

8/2003 – 2/2004 , Interim Chair, Materials Science and Engineering Department.
