Crisis management can be applied in almost any field of endeavor, but it is most commonly used in international relations, political science and management. Disaster management means a continuous and integrated multi-sectoral, multi-disciplinary process of planning and implementation of measures aimed at prevention and mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery in relation to natural and man-made disasters. Disaster management therefore refers to programs and measures designed to prevent, mitigate, prepare for, respond to and recover from the effects of disasters.
