UPDATE: March 13th, 2022

Once a Ukrainian is physically in the USA, they can get an immediate TPS.

The State of New York is open arms as follows.   The challenge is crossing the border handled by the Federal government (BIDEN).   I am being told there are many ways to accomplish this via Canada.   I am looking into this further.

March. 04, 2022 - Hochul says New York is ready to welcome Ukrainian refugees. 

New York is prepared to welcome Ukrainian refugees after federal officials approved special status for nationals leaving the country amid the Russian invasion, Gov. Kathy Hochul said Thursday evening.  The Department of Homeland Security earlier in the day granted temporary protected status to Ukrainians, making it easier for them to enter the United States and receive refugee status. New York state is home to the most prominent Ukrainian community in the United States.   It's estimated the crisis has created an exodus of more than 1 million people from the country.

Ukrainian Refugees Can Comes To Canada In Unlimited Numbers

Under the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel, Ukrainians will be able to come to Canada, pending background checks and security screenings, and stay for at least two years, including extensions to that permit.

All Ukrainians who come to Canada as part of these measures will be eligible to apply for open work permits, making it easier for employers to hire Ukrainian nationals quickly.
